Hill Park Baptist Church

What to expect on Sundays…

Our Sunday service is very relaxed.  There’s no dress code beyond common decency.  Some prefer smart or casual wear, while others come in jeans.   We’re a mixed bunch, so come how you’re comfortable.

There’s limited parking at the church, but right in front of the shops at Highlands Road there is ample parking if the church car park is already full.

When you arrive inside the church, you’ll be greeted by some of the regular church members.  You can sit wherever you like.

We begin at 10.30am with our welcome, notices and worship.  We’ll sing songs old and new during the morning.  You can stand or sit during worship.  For those who wish to give, we’ll take up an offering as part of our worship. Once a month (third Sunday) we have Communion together.

Our usual services will often have a ‘Food for Thought’ section (a short reflection) and a time called ‘Prayer & Share’. This is space in the service to pray for things that are on your heart, or share a report of good things God has done.  If you’re too shy to say something, there’s a book available at the beginning of the service where you can write your requests down, and the Leader will read them out for you.

We’ll have a sermon from one of our church team or visiting speaker, and finish the service with time to respond to the message or a little more worship.  We normally end around 11:30.

After the service we have tea/coffee and biscuits and a chance to chat and ask questions.

Thank you for visiting our website.  We hope you find everything you need to know, but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
